From the blog: "On the shoulders of giants..."
Assume good intentions? - How often do we forget to do this with both our students and each other? Lately, I feel like we are quick to accuse our colleagues and the other professionals we work with of having nefarious intentions whenever they say or do something that conflicts with our own agendas. How much more productive would our conversations be if we didn't always jump to the worst possible assumptions? On the other side of the coin however, it is important to maintain some level of skepticism so that one is not continually taken advantage of. So what's the right balance?
